Main Job Criteria in Indian Coast Guard

(a) Ensuring the safety and security of man-made islands, offshore terminals, installations, and other structures and equipment in any marine zone.

(a) Providing fishermen with protection, including help at sea if they are in distress.

(c) Taking all necessary steps to conserve and protect the maritime environment, as well as to prevent and regulate marine pollution.

(b) Assisting customs and other government agencies with anti-smuggling activities.

(ii) Electrical Division. Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Instrumentation, Instrumentation and Control, Electronics and Communication, Power Engineering, or Power Electronics All of the above engineering streams must be accredited by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Relaxation of Age

Indian Coast Guard Selection Process 2023

The applicants for Assistant Commandant are chosen through a five-stage selection process. The five stages are as follows:

Stage 1: Candidates must take a computer-based examination at one of the designated exam centres across the country. Within the two hours, there will be 100 questions with a maximum score of 400. Each accurate question is worth 4 points, while each incorrect question is worth 1 point.

Stage 2: (Preliminary selection)

Short-listed candidates from step I would be required to attend the next step in centres in Noida, Mumbai/Goa, Chennai, and Kolkata. A Computerised Cognitive Battery Test (CCBT), Picture Perception, and a Group Discussion will be held.

Stage 3: (Final Selection)

Short-listed applicants from stage II would be required to present for the next round at the Coast Guard Selection Board in Noida for five days. Candidates will be chosen based on a psychological exam, group tasks, and an interview.

Stage 4: (Medical Examination)

Short-listed individuals will be required to attend a medical examination at the Base Hospital in New Delhi, where their fitness levels will be checked.

Stage 5: (Induction) Candidates would be selected for a Naval Orientation Course at INA Ezhimala after successfully completing the fourth stage and appearing on the All India Merit List.

Selection Process – Sailor Entry in Indian Coast Guard

Stage 1

Candidates who have applied for the positions must take a test. The syllabus for each test is unique. The maximum score for the test is 50 for some positions and 100 for others.

Stage 2

The second step of the Sailor/Enrolled Personnel selection method involves the following physical fitness test: running, 20 squats, 10 push-ups, document verification, and a medical examination.

Stage 3

Document verification, final medical examination, and final verification are all part of the third stage of the recruitment process.

Stage 4

Candidates selected in the previous stages will begin training at INS Chilka. Candidates’ original documents will be reviewed again for their names, parents’ names, grades, and so forth.
