Applicants may submit an online application for Agniveer 2023 at joinindianarmy.nic.in, the Indian Army’s official recruitment website.

Agniveers with the designations of Agniveer General Duty, Agniveer Technical, Agniveer Technical (Aviation/Ammunition Examiner), Agniveer Clerk/Storekeeper Technical, Agniveer Tradesman 10th Pass, and Agniveer Tradesman 8th Pass will be appointed for terms of four years. Agniveer Recruitment Eligibility

For boards using the following grading system, a D grade (33%–40%) in each subject, or an equivalent grade, is required, and a C2 grade, or an equivalent grade, is required for the overall aggregate, or 45% overall.
Agniveer (Tech)
(All Arms)
Pass the 10+2/intermediate exam in science with at least 50% overall and 40% in each of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Math, and English.
OR

Complete the 10+2 or Intermediate Test in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Math, and English from any reputable State Education Board or Central Education Board, as well as NIOS and ITI courses for at least a year in the appropriate subject with NSQF level 4 or higher.

OR

Minimum of 40% in English, Math, and Science, as well as a grade of 10th or matriculating with a 50% overall average, plus two years of technical training from ITI or two or three years of a diploma in the streams specified below -Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, Electronic Mech, Technician Power Electronic Systems, Electrician, Fitter, Instrument Mechanic, Draughtsman (All types), Mechanic Cum Operator Electric Communication System, Vessel Navigator, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Auto Mobile Engineering, Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Instrumentation Technology, Surveyor, Geo-Informatics Assistant, Information and Communication Technology System Maintenance, Information Technology.
Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper Technical (All Arms)Intermediate Exam/10+2 pass in any field Arts, Commerce, Science) with a minimum of 50% in each subject and 60% overall. It is necessary to receive a 50% in English, Math, Accounts, and Bookkeeping in Class 12.

Tradesmen (All Arms) 10th pass
10th /Matric Pass with a minimum of 33% in each subject.
Agniveer Tradesmen (All Arms) 8th passClass 8th pass with a minimum of 33% in each subject.
Agniveer (General Duty) Women in Corps of Military Police10th-grade graduation with 45% and a minimum of 33% in each subject.
For boards using the following grading system, a D grade (33%–40%) in each subject, or an equivalent grade, is required, and a C2 grade, or an equivalent grade, is required for the overall aggregate, or 45% overall.

The minimum age and maximum age for all the posts are 17.5 years and 21 years respectively.

  • To log in, select JRO/OR/Agniveer.
  • Enter the necessary information to register.
  • Publish your documents and pay the application cost.
  • Verify the information, then submit it.

Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment Process

There will be two phases to the Agniveer recruitment process. Phase I will consist of an online common entrance exam at computer-based test centers located throughout India. Phase II will consist of a recruitment rally at the designated rally site. Phase III will consist of document verification, a medical examination, and the merit list.

Agniveer Recruitment Common Entrance Exam (Phase I)

The CEE is the first stage of the Agniveer Recruitment process for Indian Army Agniveers (Common Entrance Exam). This is open to applicants who submit an application and pay the Rs.250 application fee. The applicants must meet the requirements for Indian Army Agniveer eligibility. 

  • The online exam will consist of multiple-choice, objective questions (MCQ). The candidates will have to respond to 50 questions in one hour or 100 questions in two hours depending on the type of application.
  • Every right response receives a full point.
  • Questions that are not attempted will not receive any points.
  • Any incorrect answer that is attempted will result in a 25% score deduction.
  • Even though a question is designated for review, it will still be evaluated if it is attempted.
  • To accommodate for variations in the complexity of the question paper across different sessions, the marks earned by candidates in the Online CEE will be normalized.

Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment Rally ( Phase II )

Shortlisted candidates must show up for Phase 2 at the designated Recruiting Rally site on the designated date and time with the required documentation/certificates. If an applicant passes the online CEE, they will be contacted for the dates of the recruitment rally as their respective ARO/ IRO/ RO. Candidates will take the following examinations at the recruitment rally location:

  • Medical Test

Applicants who pass the physical measuring test must report to designated military hospitals within five days after being referred, and they must study the results of the medical examination within fourteen days, per military hospital protocol. These are the tests that will be run:

  • Hb, TLC, and DLC in a blood hemogram
  • Urine RE/ME
  • Biochemistry
  • Blood Sugar Fasting & PP 
  • Blood Sugar Fasting & PP  Cholesterol
  • Uric acid, Urea,  Creatinine
  • X-Ray chest(PA view)
  • ECG (R) 
  • Tests for Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Abuse.
  • Whatever additional tests that the Medical Officer deems necessary.
